STATEMENT
I work primarily with acrylics and spray paint. My Haitian-American heritage is a great influence on my style. Through my work, I seek to explore and challenge, the roles our culture imposes on our identities. Recently, I have focused on the images of women through time, and the roles these images impose on women now. As a woman today, I feel the push and pull of wanting to reject these standards, but also realize how I willingly play into them. I want the subjects to be disruptive and intriguing.
